Analysis finds each track's tempo, where the beats and bars fall (the beat grid), its key, its loudness and its sections (intro, build, drop, bridge, outro). The Director uses all of it to plan mixes.
- Open Pending Analysis in the Library to see tracks that have not been analysed.
- Press Analyse (or ⌥⌘A).
- Wait: it takes a little while per track. The results are saved, so each track is only analysed once.
Tip. Check the sections the analyser finds by ear. They are good estimates, not facts.

If a tempo looks wrong: the library folds a tempo that is exactly half or double the rest of your library into the usual range by itself. For anything else, give the playlist an expected tempo in its Tempo menu and press Re-analyse. The bars, sections and beat grid are rebuilt at the corrected tempo, and any half or double setting on the track is cleared.
